Feature
What is a VPN kill switch?
A kill switch is a safety net: if the encrypted tunnel ever drops, it instantly blocks all traffic so your real IP and data are never exposed, even for a moment.
Why it matters
Without a kill switch, a brief disconnect can leak your real IP to sites and your ISP. The kill switch prevents any traffic from leaving outside the tunnel.
Enabling it
WireGuard and most clients support an always-on / kill-switch mode. Enable it in your client settings so protection is automatic.
Frequently asked questions
